Summerville, GA – Serious Car Crash with Injuries at Marble Springs Rd & White Oak Rd
Summerville, GA (June 19, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Summerville on Sunday evening, June 19.
According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Marble Springs Road and White Oak Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. The parties were then rushed to local hospitals by medical helicopter. Their current conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
