Valdosta, GA (May 30, 2019) – Police confirmed that one person was killed in a two-car accident that took place on Interstate 75 over the Memorial Day Weekend. The man who lost his life was identified as a 59-year-old from Illinois. He was taken to the hospital after his vehicle sideswiped another on the Interstate, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The two vehicles had been traveling in opposite directions at the time of the accident. It took place around 11:00 p.m. on the night of Friday, May 25th.
The cause of the accident is still known at this time and the investigation continues.
