Waynesboro, GA (November 8, 2019) – Burke County Police responded to a fatal multi-vehicle crash at a Waynesboro intersection this morning that took one life and injured others.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, who responded to the scene of the collision, two vehicles collided in the intersection of Spring Church Road and Highway 23. The two vehicles have since been identified as a Burke County Transit Bus and a passenger vehicle.
One person died at the scene of the accident. Another five were transported to the hospital with various injuries.
Police have not yet confirmed the cause of the collision but their investigation continues.
