Wildwood, GA (November 18, 2019) – On Saturday afternoon around 4:30 p.m., police responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident on GA-409 in Wildwood.
Police claim that a 30-year-old man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he was involved in a rear-end collision with a semi-truck.
The man was ejected from the bike, where he hit the ground and was badly injured. He did not survive his injuries was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. A Nissan was also struck by debris in the area.
Police claim that the semi-truck driver was not aware of hitting the motorcyclist at first and did not stop at the scene. Police were able to locate him, where he stopped and cooperated.
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is currently ongoing.
