Team Ken Nugent has expanded our 2011 participation with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life program. We are now participating in Relay for life Gwinnett County and Relay for Life Chatham County.
Our company wide volunteers raise money to help find a cure for this dreaded disease. Emotions run high for our team members as we come together to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

Relay For Life of Gwinnett County will be held on May 6, 2011 from 7 PM – 7AM at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA
Relay For Life of Chatham County will be held May 13, 2011 from 7 PM – 7AM at Armstrong Atlantic State University, 11935 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA.
Team Nugent is expecting to raise over $12,000 through online and cash donations, booth sales at the event, and other fundraisers. At our booth we will be hosting several games with prizes awarded and our company wide book sale. Please contact us if you would like to become more involved.
Celebrate—The Survivors Lap
The relay starts with a Survivors Lap, an inspirational time when survivors are invited to circle the track together and help everyone celebrate the victories we’ve achieved over cancer. The Survivors Lap is an emotional example of how relay participants are creating a world with more birthdays like those of each individual on the track.
Remember—The Luminaria Ceremony
After dark, we honor people who have been touched by cancer and remember loved ones lost to the disease. During the Luminaria Ceremony, each walker holds a glowing candle bearing the name of a person touched by cancer. Participants often walk a lap in silence.
Fight Back—The Fight Back Ceremony
Finally, there is the Fight Back Ceremony, where we make a personal commitment to save lives by taking up the fight against cancer.
