Rome, GA (January 12, 2020) – Around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, January 11, a child was injured in a pedestrian accident on Rockmart Road in Rome.
A 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle when she was crossing the road in front of the local E-Z stop station. Three girls were attempting to cross the road together.
The 12-year-old girl from Aragon was struck by a GMC Sierra, which stopped at the scene of the accident. She was taken to the Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
