Savannah, GA (December 17, 2019) – Around 6 a.m. this morning, one person was pronounced deceased following a fatal pedestrian crash on Abercorn Street in Savannah.
Savannah Police claim that officers arrived at the scene at 13100 Abercorn Street, close to the area of Science Drive. There, they found a 33-year-old man deceased in the roadway.
Through preliminary investigations, police found that the man was crossing the street from north to south when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The vehicle never stopped at the scene of the accident and it was deemed a hit-and-run.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
