The city also hosts a number of annual events and festivals that attract thousands of visitors every year. Below is an overview of some of the most loved annual events in Duluth GA and the surrounding areas:

Caboose Days & Steak Cook-off

In celebrating the golden years of the Caboose railroad cars, the Southeastern Railway Museum hosts the Caboose Days festival and Steak Cook-off every year towards the end of March. This two-day family fun extravaganza features a lot of exciting activities including live music, arts and crafts, educational programs, food vendors, and of course, the Steak Cook-off.

Fast Track 5K

Also organized by the Southeastern Railway Museum, the Fast Track 5K is an annual USA Track & Field approved race event that takes place in the city’s downtown area. The event helps raise awareness about the museum’s operational mission and also serves as a pre-qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race.

Duluth  Spring Arts Festival 

First celebrated in 2017, the Duluth  Spring Arts Festival  seeks to promote local and regional artists by offering them a chance and a platform where they can showcase their work to the public. Organized by the State’s Foundation for Public Space, the event feature all forms of arts including paintings, photographs, sculptures, metalwork,  jewelry and many others. This two-day event takes place in April and is fast becoming one of the most popular art events in the city.

Trains, Trucks & Tractors

August brings a giant parade of antique vehicles, tractors, and trains to Duluth city. The Trains, Trucks & Tractor festival is a great family event that also features live entertainment, rides, and tasty cuisines. The event takes place in early August and spans a total of three days.

Duluth Margarita and Taco Festival

The recently introduced Margarita and Taco Festival is scheduled to take place every year during the month of May. The event will feature over 50 taco vendors and bars. Despite not being a family event, it’s a great place for the adults to meet and chat over a glass of icy Margarita.

Indie Green Festival

Billed as Gwinnett County’s first vegan festival, the Indie Green Festival is a big hit in Duluth. The event’s main aim is to educate the locals about leading a healthy lifestyle and everything it entails. At the event, you can expect to come across all kinds of delicious vegan foods, information booths, art vendors, live entertainers, and games for the kids.
