Boys & Girls Club of Georgia

Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C. > Boys & Girls Club of Georgia

We are excited to announce our new relationship with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Georgia.

Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C., is a proud sponsor of many charity, sports, and community events across Georgia. Likewise, our Community Commitment program is designed to inspire our employees with purpose, passion, and productivity. With this in mind, we are proud to announce the selection of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Georgia as our newest community commitment relationship.

When we set out to find a community-based project our firm could get involved with, we identified four areas of involvement that would be important to our success. First, we wanted a project that would fit each of our Georgia offices’ goals. Second, the project needed to be centered around helping the local neighborhoods; third, we wanted to help kids develop into thriving adults; and fourth, we wanted a project that would get our employees excited to “get involved with their communities.”. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Georgia checked all of our boxes.

Started in 1860, the Boys and Girls Clubs were set up to provide their members with a secure and safe place to maximize their potential. Their programs, which serve children 6–18 years of age, are an affordable after-school solution for 10,000 children across the US. They have over 5,000 locations. In addition to their after-school program, they successfully run full-day summer camp programs.

Over the years, we have rolled out projects that didn’t get all of our employees excited. In everyone’s mind, there are certain aspects of volunteering that get people excited. I believe that the Boys and Girls Clubs do just that. They are in need of individual volunteers; they have group volunteering projects; they have fund-raising events; and they also need people to sit on committees and the board of directors. There really is something for everyone.

Last year, we visited each of our office locations and had them participate in identifying the Boys and Girls Club in their community that they would be getting involved with. Several of the employees have already begun the process of officially volunteering in their designated clubs. The Savannah office will participate in our first event—the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club Big Chef Little Chef tasting competition, which will take place on February 9, 2024. As a sponsor, 13 of our employees will be attending to cheer on the teams and support the community.

By supporting local causes, providing volunteer opportunities, and promoting social responsibility, our goal with the Kenneth S. Nugent community commitment partnership is to positively impact our business results within the communities we serve in order to sustain our teams’ successes both inside and outside of the boardroom and courtroom.
