Georgia law firm partnering with Atlanta Falcons and Dave FM 92.9 for third consecutive year to sponsor $500 weekly scholarship awards to local teachers
Atlanta, Georgia – August 25, 2010 – For the third consecutive year, the Georgia law firm of Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C. is joining forces with the Atlanta Falcons Radio network to sponsor a scholarship program for school teachers in the state of Georgia.
Each week during the 2010-2011 Atlanta Falcons season, the law firm will be awarding a Georgia teacher with a $500 scholarship to be used for classroom supplies, projects, field trips and other related expenses.
“The school teachers in our state work hard to educate our children, dedicating countless hours from their evenings and weekends to their jobs,” said Kenneth Nugent, the founder of the law firm. “We are aware that budgets are not always available to fund some of the extra activities, let alone some of the basic school supplies for which teachers often reach into their own pockets to purchase. Our hope is that this program will defray those expenses and also send a strong message to the teachers of Georgia that we value and appreciate their professionalism.”
According to Mr. Nugent, at the end of each radio broadcast of the Atlanta Falcons games this year on Dave FM 92.9, a winner will be randomly selected. To enter to win the scholarship, teachers need to register by going to the Atlanta Falcons Radio Web site at www.929dave.fm, where they will find the official rules for entering and the qualifications needed to be eligible to win. There are no purchases to win; everyone has an equal chance to win.
