Georgia Aquarium

Billed as the world’s largest Aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium is the ultimate tourist destination in Atlanta. The aquarium is home to over 500 different species of marine life and carries over 10 million gallons of water, spanning over 70 unique habitats and six large galleries. Some of the animals you can expect to see include whales, penguins, exotic fish species, and dolphins.

High Museum of Art

Located along Peachtree Street, the High Museum of Art is a heaven for art enthusiasts and history buffs. Designed by Richard Meier, the museum houses a giant collection of contemporary and classic art from different periods in history. Atlanta History Center

If you are in for American Civil War history and American-African history, this is the right place for you. Located in the historic Buckhead district in uptown Atlanta, the facility is dedicated to safeguarding and showcasing the history and heritage of Atlanta city and the surrounding areas through permanent and temporary exhibitions, lectures, living history programs, and seasonal events. The Center spans an area of a little over 30 acres of land and is home to several signature attractions including the Atlanta History Museum, several historic structures, Centennial Olympic Games Museum, the Kenan Research Center, and half a dozen gardens.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens
