Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Collision Leads to Injuries on I-285
Atlanta, GA (May 7, 2021) – At 12:11 a.m. on the morning of Friday, May 7, a tractor-trailer collision took place on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Officials found that a tractor-trailer and a Lexus SUV collided with each other in the area.
Paramedics and other local responders were present at the scene. The driver of the Lexus, who has not yet been identified, was extricated from their vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
