Fort Oglethorpe, GA (November 15, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Fort Oglethorpe on Monday night, November 14.

According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and US-27. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Several responders, including Fort Oglethorpe paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Multiple victims reported injuries in the collision. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their current conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the red light for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
