Lithia Springs, GA – Car Accident on GA-402 Near Lee Rd Leads to Injuries
Lithia Springs, GA (May 23, 2021) – At 1:32 a.m. on Sunday morning, May 23, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Lithia Springs.
According to Douglas County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of GA-402 around the area of Lee Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, which led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
