Macon, GA (June 9, 2021) – At 2:50 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 9, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Macon.

According to Bibb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Red Oak Drive. Two vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The parties are expected to be okay.

The roadway was blocked in the area but police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
