Moultrie, GA – Woman Injured in Car Crash on Tallokas Rd
Moultrie, GA (March 29, 2022) – A woman was hurt in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Moultrie on Tuesday morning, March 29.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the morning hours on Tallokas Road. A Valdosta man was traveling south on the roadway when a vehicle suddenly made a turn and caused him to slam on his brakes. He swerved into the other lane of traffic, where his vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle being driven by a woman from Quitman. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The woman sustained injuries as a result of the accident. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though her current condition is not known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
Police confirmed that the Valdosta man was charged with following too closely.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
