Warner Robins, GA (May 2, 2021) – At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night, May 1, a child was injured in a bicycle accident in Warner Robins.

According to Warner Robins Police, the accident happened on 100 Sonja Drive. A 10-year-old boy was riding his bicycle in the area when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle traveling through the area. The Honda Accord was headed west toward Belmont Drive when he was struck.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The child was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital with critical head injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
