Chatham Co, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on I-16 at Chatham Pkwy
Chatham Co, GA (April 1, 2021) – Around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 1, a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Chatham County.
The Georgia Department of Transportation confirmed that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-16 when at least two vehicles suddenly collided with each other for unknown reasons. The accident led to severe damages and injuries.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision where they assisted those with injuries. The injured victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The Chatham County Police Department confirmed that all lanes were closed near Chatham Parkway as a result of the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
