Fulton Co, GA – Car Accident Causing Injuries Reported on I-285 at W I-20
Fulton Co, GA (April 1, 2021) – Around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 1, a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Fulton County, per reports from officers in the area.
The Georgia Department of Transportation confirmed that the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-285 when at least two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The accident led to injuries and vehicle damage and blocked all lanes near the westbound side of Interstate 20.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision where they assisted those with injuries. Any injured victims were transported to an area medical center to be treated for their injuries.
The Fulton County Police Department confirmed that all lanes in the area were closed for several hours, leading to lengthy backups and delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time, and officers have not released further information about the injured victims or the events leading up to the crash.
