Fayetteville, GA – Fatal Truck Accident in SB Lanes of GA-85
Fayetteville, GA (April 5, 2021) – On Friday afternoon, April 2, a fatal truck accident occurred on a major roadway in Fayetteville.
According to Fayetteville Police, the collision happened in the southbound lanes of GA-85 around the area of Highway 92. The crash happened between the area of the Publix and Kroger grocery stores when a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided with each other.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One person was pronounced dead at the scene while another was hospitalized with critical injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
