Lithia Springs, GA (April 6, 2021) – At 5:19 a.m. on the morning of Monday, April 5, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Lithia Springs.

According to the Douglasville Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of Thornton Road and Blairs Bridge Road. Two or more vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. This led to damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene. This led to delays.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
