Clayton Co, GA – Police Investigating Injury Car Wreck on I-285 at I-75 & MP 58
Clayton Co, GA (April 8, 2021) – Around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 8, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Atlanta, resulting in injuries and involving at least two vehicles.
Officers with the Clayton County Police Department confirmed that the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 285 near the I-75 ramp and milepost 58. The accident involved two or more vehicles that collided for unknown reasons, leading to injuries and traffic backups in the area.
Clayton paramedics and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known. It appears that at least one victim was treated at the scene or transported to an area medical center, and two lanes were blocked while officers collected evidence.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time. Clayton County officials have not released any identifying information about the drivers involved.
