6/16 Ringgold, GA – Eight Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-75

Fulton Co, GA (April 8, 2021) – According to officers with the Fulton County Police Department, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a major highway on Thursday morning, April 8, resulting in injuries and damage to the vehicles involved.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Officials say that the crash took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 around the area of I-20 at milepost 246.5. Though few details have been released, two vehicles were said to be involved and sustained extensive damages. Furthermore, at least two lanes of the highway were closed as a result of the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident to help those who were injured. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were treated at the scene or transported to an area medical center for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues, and no further details identifying the victims or the cause of the crash were released.
