5/29 Norcross, GA – Woman Killed in Apartment Fire on Jimmy Carter Blvd

Chattanooga Valley, GA (April 16, 2021) – Around 4:35 a.m. on Thursday morning, April 15, a man was killed in a fatal head-on collision in Chattanooga Valley.

According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 193. At the time, a 38-year-old man was driving a Nissan Altima and headed south when his vehicle collided head-on with an SUV traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was so forceful that the Altima ran off the side of the road and the SUV was pushed back.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was completely blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
