Decatur, GA (April 20, 2021) – Around 11:13 a.m. on the morning of Monday, April 19, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Decatur.

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of McAfee Road and Garden Circle. Two or more vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Glenwood Avenue as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
