Valdosta, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on N Saint Augustine Rd
Valdosta, GA (April 20, 2021) – On Saturday, April 17, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash on a roadway in Valdosta.
According to the Valdosta Police Department, the accident happened at 1200 North Saint Augustine Road when a pedestrian was crossing the street in the area. A vehicle traveling through the area struck the pedestrian and remained at the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The female pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. She was pronounced dead while there.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
