Athens, GA – Pedestrian Accident with Injuries on Lumpkin St
Athens, GA (April 30, 2021) – At 2:54 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, April 29, a pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened on Lumpkin Street around the area of Cedar Street. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
