Savannah, GA – Hit-and-Run Scooter Accident on Abercorn St
Savannah, GA (April 30, 2021) – On Thursday night, April 29, a hit-and-run scooter accident occurred on a roadway in Savannah.
According to Chatham County officials, the accident happened on Abercorn Street. An unidentified adult was riding a scooter in the area when a driver of a passenger vehicle struck their scooter. The driver then fled the scene of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the scooter sustained injuries but is expected to recover.
Police did not confirm if they caught the driver responsible for the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
