Acworth, GA – Chain-Reaction Collision in SB Lanes of I-75 Leads to Injuries
Acworth, GA (May 1, 2021) – At 12:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, May 1, a chain-reaction collision led to injuries on a highway in Acworth.
According to Cherokee County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Highway 92. Photographs showed that three vehicles collided with each other in a chain-reaction collision, which led to extensive damages. A white pickup truck smashed the back of a white sedan in completely.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
