Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (May 1, 2021) – Around 4:12 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 1, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Capitol Avenue. Several vehicles collided in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Memorial Drive as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
