6/5 Twin City, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal House Fire Near Swainsboro

Lawrenceville, GA (May 2, 2021) – Around 2 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, May 2, a man was injured in a house fire in Lawrenceville.

According to Gwinnett County officials, the incident happened at 200 Twin Brook Way. When crews arrived at the scene, they found two single-story homes caught on fire and became fully engulfed in flames. The fire was spreading so quickly that it began to extend to the homes next to them. It took fire crews some time to get the fires under control.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were present at the scene. One of the homes that caught on fire was occupied by a man and his two grandchildren. The family was pulled to safety but the man sustained injuries as a result. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
