Lithia Springs, GA (May 2, 2021) – Before 11 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, May 2, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Lithia Springs.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Thornton Road and US-78. Two vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages. The vehicles sustained front-end damage as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time, which led to delays.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
