Cochran, GA (May 3, 2021) – On Tuesday, April 27, one person was killed in a fatal house fire on a roadway in Cochran.

According to officials, the incident took place in a home on Randall Road. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found a home engulfed in flames and discovered that a woman was trapped inside the home. Fire crews found the woman inside was trapped inside a bedroom. By the time they were able to extract her from the house and bring her outside the house, she had sustained fatal injuries.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The woman, who was identified only as an adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
