Atlanta, GA (May 7, 2021) – At 8:55 a.m. on the morning of Friday, May 7, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Washington Road. One or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
