Atlanta, GA – Car Accident on Buford Hwy Before I-285 Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (May 10, 2021) – At 5:25 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, May 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of the Buford Highway around the area of I-285. Several vehicles were traveling through the area when they collided with one another, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in nearly all lanes of traffic. Police urged those traveling through the area to use Peachtree Industrial Boulevard as an alternate route.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
