Atlanta, GA – Car Crash Causes Injuries on I-675 at Forest Pkwy
Atlanta, GA (May 9, 2021) – Around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, May 9, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in the Atlanta metro area.
Atlanta Police confirmed that the accident took place when multiple vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of I-675. The accident occurred near the Forest Parkway exit. Multiple vehicles had to be removed from the scene by wreckers.
Emergency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized.
A left lane was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Highway 42 for a period of time until they cleared the scene.
