Macon, GA – Go-Kart Accident at Log Cabin Dr & Sherbrooke Dr
Macon, GA (May 11, 2021) – At 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, May 11, a go-kart accident with injuries occurred in Macon.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Log Cabin Drive and Sherbrooke Drive. A man was driving his go-kart in the right lane of traffic when his vehicle and a Honda Civic collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The go-kart was then struck by a Nissan Altima head-on.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver of the go-kart, identified as a 36-year-old man, was immediately taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
