Riverdale, GA – One Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on GA-85
Riverdale, GA (May 11, 2021) – On Monday evening, May 10, a fatal pedestrian accident took place on a major roadway in Riverdale.
According to Clayton County Police, the accident happened on GA-85 around the area of Lakeview Drive. A pedestrian was allegedly walking in the area when they were struck by a passenger vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
