6/8 Valdosta, GA – One Killed in Fatal Crash at E Hill Ave & Mildred St

Commerce, GA (May 22, 2021) – On Friday night, May 21, a fatal crash took place at an intersection in Commerce that took two lives.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of US-441 and South Elm Street. A Dodge Dart was driving north when the driver started to make a left turn at the intersection at South Elm. The vehicle collided with a Dodge Journey van traveling southbound.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Two men inside the Dart, identified as a 46-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, were both rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with severe injuries. They were both pronounced dead while there.

The driver of the Journey, identified as a 20-year-old woman, was injured but not taken to the hospital.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
