Dalton, GA (May 22, 2021) – At 1:38 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 22, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred near a Dalton intersection.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Tyler Street. A pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was crossing the street when they were struck by a passenger vehicle in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of traumatic injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
