Trion, GA – Motorcycle Accident with Serious Injuries on GA-27
Trion, GA (May 22, 2021) – On Saturday evening, May 22, a motorcycle accident with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Trion.
According to police, the accident happened on GA-27 around the area of Penn Bridge Road. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when an elderly driver in a pickup truck started to cross the highway. Their truck collided with the motorcyclist when the driver claimed they did not see the motorcyclist.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital by medical helicopter.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
