Alto, GA (May 24, 2021) – At 2:42 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, two people were killed in a fatal collision in Alto. The victims have since been identified by authorities.

According to police, the accident happened on GA-365 around the area of Mud Creek Road. Georgia State Patrol officials confirmed that a 28-year-old man from Kennesaw was driving south in a Honda Accord when he rear-ended a Tacoma driven by a 59-year-old man. The Tacoma spun out of control and overturned.

The Accord continued onward on the highway, where it struck a Toyota Tundra driven by a 22-year-old. One of the tires on the overturned vehicle struck a fourth vehicle driven by a 65-year-old woman.

The driver of the Tacoma, as well as his 65-year-old female passenger, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was blocked in the area for several hours as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
