Braselton, GA – One Killed in Fatal Truck Crash at GA-53 & Braselton Pkwy
Braselton, GA (May 24, 2021) – At 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning, May 24, a fatal truck crash occurred at an intersection in Braselton.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of GA-53 and Braselton Parkway. A Nissan Sentra was attempting a left turn in the area when it collided with a dump truck due to reasons that are not yet known. The truck was traveling in the area and carrying asphalt.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were present at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, identified as a 27-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the severity of the impact, the dump truck overturned in the area. The dump truck driver, identified as a 55-year-old man, was injured but not hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
