Atlanta, GA – Two-Vehicle Accident on I-985 Near Buford Dr
Atlanta, GA (May 25, 2021) – At 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, a two-vehicle accident took place on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-985 around Buford Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the same direction on the highway when they collided with one another, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the right lane of traffic until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use I-85 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the collision continues.
