Augusta, GA – Injuries Reported in Structure Fire at 1918 George Rd
Augusta, GA (May 26, 2021) – On Wednesday evening, May 26, at least one victim was injured in a structure fire that took place in Augusta.
According to police, the incident took place at 1918 George Road around 10:00 p.m. Rescue units were able to bring the fire under control after about an hour.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One victim, who was injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital for treatment. It’s unclear if any other individuals were injured in the fire.
The area was blocked for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
