Cumming, GA (May 27, 2021) – At 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 26, a woman was killed in a camper fire in Cumming.

According to Forsyth County officials, the accident happened at 2600 Hammond Drive when a camper caught on fire. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found that a victim was trapped inside the camper. Fire units started an aggressive approach to get the fire under control as quickly as possible.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A 52-year-old woman was found inside the camper but she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Fire crews were able to get the fire under control within six minutes.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
