Sandy Springs, GA – Officers Investigating Injury Car Crash on I-285 at Powers Ferry Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (May 26, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning, May 26, police responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in Sandy Springs.
According to police, the accident took place at 7:30 a.m. when multiple vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of The Perimeter (Interstate 285) around Powers Ferry Road and New Northside Drive. The vehicles involved sustained severe damages as a result of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the collision. They assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known. The injured victims were allegedly hospitalized due to the collision.
All lanes of traffic were blocked, which led to delays in the area for some time. Police diligently worked to clear the scene.
