Macon, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Collision at Northside Dr Intersection
Macon, GA (Mau 29, 2021) – At 8:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 29, a woman was killed in a fatal collision near a Macon intersection.
According to police, the accident happened on Northside Drive near the intersection of Holiday Drive. Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies confirmed that a Kia Sorento was traveling east in a construction zone when the vehicle collided with a backhoe. The accident led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as a 57-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
