Marietta, GA (May 29, 2021) – At 3:41 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, May 29, a two-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Marietta.

According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Delk Road. Two vehicles collided with each other in the area for reasons that are not fully known. One of the vehicles turned sideways in traffic and the other struck a guardrail. Both were left with extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, two left lanes of traffic were blocked for some time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
