Sandy Springs, GA – Car Accident on GA-400 Near Abernathy Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (May 29, 2021) – At 4:38 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, May 29, a car accident occurred on a highway in Sandy Springs.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of Abernathy Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were severely damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
